My mom, sister and I went to Plaza Singapura yesterday to watch
the messenger, and something happened before that. So obviously we went there in a taxi, and people USUALLY wait ON the pavement. There's actually a few steps that we have to climb before stepping onto the pavement. So, we saw Mervin(the kid-central actor) standing BELOW the pavement. As in, he was standing before the steps. It REALLY looked like he was waiting for somebody. Really. So we went ONTO the pavement and waited for a taxi. After several attempts to stop taxis, one finally stopped. So i opened the door(because i always go in first). Before i went in, Mervin suddenly said;
MERVIN: Excuse me, maybe next time you should probably ask me first if i was waiting for a taxi?So this is how the story goes;
my mother shouted.
MOTHER: You were waiting below the pavement! How are we supposed to know you were waiting for a taxi?!! Let's go!So i was speechless and i straight away went in. Then Mervin said something else which i couldn't hear. Then my mother started saying again.
MOTHER: No no! It's your fault that you waited below the pavement. Your fault! It doesn't even look like you were waiting for a taxi! Then my mother got into the taxi and shut the door. The driver started driving slowly. Then Mervin came closer to the taxi and point his finger to his head. I couldn't hear him, so i read his lips and he said something like:
Common sense, use your head!Then my mother ignored and started complaining to the driver. The driver was obviously on my mother's side. So he agreed with whatever my mother said.
But hey, it's really not my mother's fault. Seriously, he REALLY REALLY looked like he was waiting for someone else. And then my mother was still going on in the taxi. This is what she said;
MOTHER: I think he waited very long already. Haha, happy waiting! Next time i see him, i'm going to say, 'get a car!' Haha.F.Y.I. Mervin stays in my block on the six floor. Jeez, doesn't mean we have to respect him just because he's an actor right?! God. Lol. I guess i'll just freeze up if i see him in the lift. Haha.
ANYWAYS,
the messenger was alright. It's a horror movie but it was more on the shocking side. It's freaking shocking. After that, ate lunch at
Secret Recipe. And then home.
